What's at the heart of a community? Weavers Way members would argue it's the intersection of caring, dedication - and food. A Philadelphia-based co-op owned and governed by its members, Weaver's Way operates three grocery stores; two local farms; three retail spaces offering holistic home/garden/wellness/lifestyle products; and a variety of other community-based workshops, events, committees, and initiatives (many of which have become enterprises of their own, including Food Moxie, a nonprofit that improves access to healthy, affordable food and its production).
After 45 years of incredible growth and change, though, the Weaver's Way's story needed to grow and evolve as well - particularly as larger, more centrally-run grocery chains have edged into the local, sustainable, community-supported territory that once differentiated co-ops. To help bring the Weaver's Way story powerfully and competitively forward, Imagine More worked with the co-op's marketing and development teams to hone in on what makes this multifaceted, community-changing organization tick. These efforts culminated in comprehensive brand positioning; communications strategy; social media content calendar; UX audit; and launch recommendations for their newly-opened Mercantile retail space. With its passionate member base and dedicated leadership, this Philadelphia mainstay will be growing and sustaining its community for decades to come!
